Hello everyone, Gary here, the General Manager for our club.
One of the updates to our website here is the addition of profiles for members and execs to talk about themselves a little bit. So here goes. . .
I joined the Burgh Bears in the fall of 1999 shortly after having run into an old college friend I had not seen in years. He mentioned the club to me and thought that I might like the guys and the club overall. Even though I live two hours away, the Burgh Bears have become my extended family. With them I have learned and grown as a person along with making new lifelong friendships.
Previous to becoming General Manager, I was the Events Manager for the club for a number of years. Now my role is provide leadership and organize the various things we do; whether they are for charity or just pure hanging out. Over the ten years I have been involved and on the board for four of those years, we have grown and changed in many ways. Hopefully this coming year will include you as well by attending an event, meeting or just contacting one of us.
