Believe it or not, we've been having our picnic for a decade and a half now! This year marks the 15th Anniversary we'll be hosting the potluck picnic in the park. The club provides hot dogs, burgers, buns, condiments, ice and sodapop/water, with folks bringing an optional dish/plate for everyone to enjoy. If you're com...ing in from out of town and are worried about bringing a food item - don't be as we typically have tons of things to share! Each year we also secure an alcohol permit so our guests can bring their choice of beverages to enjoy and share as well having some beer. Members are free and guests will have a $10 cover charge to help pay for the food, beverages and pavilion rental. Two years ago we introduced the first ever Doughbear Bakeoff contest where entrants brought a homemade/baked dessert item and the attendees voted for their category and overall favorites. So we're bringing back the bakeoff to let you show off your BettyCrocker/MarthaStewart skills for our 3rd installment. For Details on the bakeoff are available by contacting Bill H. at villains27@aol.com. And the picnic is being held at the very much enjoyed Veteran's Memorial Pavilion. This is the largest area in the Park and provides many additional items including: a HUGE capacity, an indoor kitchen, indoor restroom facilities as well as recreational facilities for use too. 1pm - Food served, 2pm - Bakeoff, 3pm - Group Picture and @ 4pm we're awarding Best Bakeoff dishes! So come on out and enjoy a great fun afternoon with us!

This month, one of our social events is helping to benefit the GLCC and Shepherd Wellness by having a gay old time playing BINGO! Join us at Rodef Shalom in Oakland (4905 Fifth Ave). The entrance is from the parking lot between Devonshire Street and Morewood Avenue. Doors open at 6:30pm, Games begin at 7:30pm. Tickets are $15 @ Door, $12 in advance at Klavon's Ice Cream Parlor.

We're having our Burgh Bears Bar Night at 1226 Herron Avenue in Pittsburgh's Upper Hill section. Regular members will not be charged a cover at the door and have full use of all three floors (Leather Central down stairs, Dance Central upstairs and the main floor).
